My Kite Catcher has been working flawlessly this past year, but the real test came during my last session.
I was out in 10 - 15 kts (side-on) on 6 m FireFly when the wind increased to 20 kts with > 25 kt gusts. I have only a 10 m wide beach then a road, trees, fence. So having a bad landing is not an option. Luckily I had my Kite Catcher at the waters edge and it worked perfectly (no drama). I think I would have landed the Foil in the water if I didn't have my Kite Catcher. The only issue is to know your distance away from the Kite Catcher which I tripod when I iniially take off.
(Note: For softer sand I use a Dog leash screw as an anchor - not a Tent peg as shown)

Has anyone tried this with a Flysurfer 21M using the Carabiner?

Flysurfer is not putting the landing Balls on the back lines anymore that you used for back-stalling.

Thanks

BW

^^ Is it not a case of just using the top of the floaters instead of the balls for a normal backstall landing? Don’t use the new flysurfer bars but think I saw this in a vid!

You can also get plastic line balls on kiteboarding.com that work really well. What I use on my custom bars.

I’m using a hook similar for my Sonic 3 15mtr, works great. Works great on the big kites as the wind is light and the kite just hooks a bridle and lays flat very calmly. In the really light I just back stall it.

Than the carabiner method should work with the Soul 21.

Anyone disagree?

I don't disagree Mr.14

Anyone ever tried that with a VMG 23 at it's top upper wind range of 15 knots ?
