There is some R&D underway using the Carabiner and line to land the Soul 21.

Did anyone get a video of this yet, I have been meaning to but always have someone to land me. I am keen to know this works so I can try it if ever caught overpowered.

I've tried it with my 12m Ozone Hyperlink and haven't bee too thrilled. You can't pull the rear line in through the carabiner enough to get the kite to calm down because you eventually get snagged on the bridle pulley. The kite isn't powered up at this point, but in powered winds the kite still has a lot of pull while it's flopping around like a giant flag. You have to grab the rear line, not letting it slip through your hands, and go hand over hand walking up to the kite, while walking over your own lines/bar, to eventually grab the pulley/bridle line. It's a pain to hold onto that rear line while trying to unclip your bar and leash.
I think it works OK in lighter winds. Maybe on bigger kite would be OK.

Do you have OS handles on your bar? I suspect they are needed for larger kites - as you may need to pull 3-5m or more of line very quickly to get the kite to lie flat.
Kite flopping arround sounds like maybe not enough back line was pulled to flag the kite. If so, an OS handle should help.

Reach over and grab also the front line...along with the back line....it is much easier...to have more grip...using the carabiner method walk
My favorite carabiner style/size after several landings was a "round one inch"....it really jammed good against pulley in the mixer of the Flysurfer
Stay hooked in....bring a clip of some sort (for chip bag works) with you ...attach it on the depower line to keep bar high up away from your knees
Easier to walk...less dangling around....easier to unclip bar/leash at the end
Pretty sure you can land your 12m in 15 knots or more no problem
