I read a lot about the small Peaks but not the big one. I am a long timeBoard Riding Maui kiter who is now wanting to sell my clouds and just ride Peaks because they drift so much better. I have a 13.4 D that I would like to sell for an 11M Peak, but wonder how much low end i would give up. With long lines (34M) and the largest Slingshot wing (Infinity 84cm) I can ride down to about 7-8. I'm 215lbs. I hear some people complain about flutter, but frankly that tells me that I am not sheeted correctly.

I'm all Clouds too. This spring I jumped onto the foil game changer/dark side mania with a 12m Flysurfer Soul. I weigh 155lbs, I ride a Moses 633, strapless. I can only say personally that even down into 8mph winds I found plenty of power. I need a bunch more TOW because this is so different than Cloudriding with the power delivery. I now have an 8m Soul.
My guess is that a 11m Peak will be you new light wind choice and the 13.5 Cloud will be worthless. Oh... But the Cloud can have a safer launch & land on tight barnacle encrusted beaches.

I love my Peak 4 11, in the video below you can see a foil water start in 6/7 Knots onshore wind (4.27 min.). That being said It hasn't the lift of a double skin foil kite but for my weight (76 Kilos) and my light wind foils (Ketos V1200 and MHL Lift 170) is simply Awesome :thumb: . I don't foil with my Soul 12 anymore unless I want to jump or progress in tacking transitions. Needless to say is not Always relaunchable especially in marginal wind conditions.

Cheers

Carlo

I tried the peak4 in 11m last weekend on land and it is the slowest kite i have ever tried. It was very little wind and it did not want to stay in the air at the lower edge if the wind window. After all the high praise i probably expected a bit too much. Next to me was a guy with cabrinha fx (i think 14m) in the air, who even could foil a little (maybe one tack). Then i tried the 8m version and found it much nicer to handle. What is cool is how small the peak packs up and it is super easy to set up and start.
