Well you didn't mention the kite got severely damaged. Still no reason to give up on it, repair it. I would guess the kite has no LCLs given that type of thing should not normally damage a kite with LCLs. If you want light bar you can tune more for it by lengthening Z. As to kites the Pansh A15 due to it's slightly unusually bridle has the lightest bar you can find.

If you think the Soul has high bar pressure, you won’t like the Nova since it’s even higher.

Why I would still pick the Soul for your needs:
That’s a mighty big wind range there, you’ll want something that’s pretty stable on the top end.
Relaunch-nothing beats the soul
Diversity - reason why I love my souls is they’re fantastic on both the twin tip and HF. Some kites might be more specific for either riding style but I don’t know one that’s as good for both.
Robust - sounds like you are hard on your kites like I am. The Soul fabric is extremely strong for its weight.
Warranty - FS would have fixed that problem no questions asked due to their fantastic warranty.

FYI since I was so used to the Sonics, it took me a little bit to get use to the addition pressure when I got my first Soul (15m). The higher pressure I think is due to the Z line attachments moving to the trailing edge as you move out on the wing. This allows for more dynamic turning and a more “direct” feel. Seems to me the bar pressure reduces as you size down though.

I've kite with LCL and not a single LCL did not break on my event. I lost both front-main and one Z-main. One Z-kite attachement point ripped away and 2-3 other stiches partly broken from both side of kite. Bar was also split half in event. I am not sure which happened first, probably front-mains went first on kiteloop stress. Kite had no further damage than mentioned attachment points.

Story is that LCL will break so sure only if stress is coming from designed direction. Side-ways loading and LCL might not break but attachment point does.

Hi,

I got a speed5 9m for sale if you're interested.
In my opinion due to it's high AR it's a good foiling kite.
Windrange is huge, same low end as my 8m soul and better high end.

And why not get a Soul 10?
High aspect ratio can work well with the twintips (see a flysurder Sonic 2 for example), the question you shouldbe asking is if the bridles that come with the Diablo 4 and the Areo V2 can whistand the higher tension generated by the load of a twintip.
If I were you, and my main program was just rusing fast and having a fun time with a twintip I ld go for a Soul, or a Sonic 2, not a race kite.
Quite right but as I stated I want that light bar feeling the Halo had and the Soul 10 I've tried couldn't deliver that. Thanks for the tips though, but I'm really interested in the Nova and it's bar pressure, since I've just tired the Nova in 6, but I imagine it being quite different from a 10?
Then why not consider a Sonic 2?
Special edition comes with the same fabric and bridle thickness as the soul.

Because I impaciently am waiting for the Sonic 3. :D And my brother just sold his Sonic 2 just a year ago, and back then I wasn't that much into foiling so a race kite didn't make much sence...

I've been flying the Hyperlinks 7-9-13 and find them perfect for hydrofoiling. I can easily ride with one hand and two-three fingers.
Have 100+ hours on the 9m and not touched the speed system and it flys like new.

A friend of mine said today he's had problems with tip tucks on his Nova, and he's experienced foil flyer.

No problems of tip tucks with my 10m Nova (maybe his needs adjustment of speed system?) I had the hyperlink prior to Nova and bar pressure is less on Nova (but heavier than a Chrono) for me ,it's just right as still relatively new to foil kites ( and foiling)
