Yes I tested it together with Mischa from www.kitejunkie.com and the designer in spring against Soul in several sizes.

As not sure how much they changed the design till now and I also don't remember everything I am not sure if it makes sense to go into details.

But the overall impression was that it can be a dignified competitor to FS Soul. So not like with the North Ace which was already quite far behind FS when it was release, but sold for a much higher price than Speed 5. As Capa now seems to be also on the price level of Soul this could be an interesting alterantive. But I would recommend to see how the real serials kites now are in details before making any decission. Also for FS it was not always easy to translate a good prototype into a series with stable quality.

Even if we already have quite a lot small but good and experienced foil kite brands as Peter Lynn, GIN, f-one, ConceptAir, etc.
I think it now will be even better for customers to have another company on the level of Ozone and Flysurfer entering the market with a serious product.

The designer is Kari Eisenhut - Chief of the Design Team by Advance Paragliders and also a very good kiter.

Nice to see duotone come out with this. Shape reminds me of something I guess a paraglider.

A study of that kite. Apparently specs are quite close to Soul, kite shape looks a bit different though. 41 cells, AR seems like 5.5 to 6. Interesting to see how bridle and inner structures are designed, most probably quite a lot like in the picture above.

General impression of Duotone Capa is very good.

Could fly a 11m Capa this weekend and compare it to a 10m Soul. the Capa is a very nice kite, more stable than the Soul in the turns but has less power than the Soul due to a lower AR. Barfeeling is light. The Capa is a easy to fly kite like the soul. Overall very comparable product, even the Soul is a slight touch in front.

Why is the soul better then? Would you recommend a 10 soul or a 11 capa as a kite for light-medium wind?
