Definitively get the 9m..
I was just about to write a post saying this - I have 4 foil kites but will only use the 9m from now on..
It has an amazingly good bottom end and able to hold it down in 30 knots until you send it.

Both TT and foil board is fun and geez it has some good boost and hangtime.

I chose it over the Sonic 3 because it's more user friendly and the relaunch that Souls do so well..
I use a 60cm bar and 18m lines with spare 2,3 & 4m extensions, though I've not had to use them yet.

But,

You are expert rider :) Expert riders do not qualify ;)

In 25-30kn I'm way more happy with an LEI and looking at the local where u and I ride, only yourself is on foil.

To be fair, I think you boosted better on Screamer than on Soul. The question is, is that because Lei can be sent faster or Soul needs a bit of different technique?

Sure, 18m lines will not get that big WW...

Haaa yes you are correct, but I was only replying with this being the foil kite part of the forum...

Yes the technique is different because you don't get ripped off the water and have split second 'make or break timing like a dedicated screamer jump kite.
Nothing quite like throwing an inflatable around like a madman in our fun sessions ..

Having said that - for the average rider new to foil kites, who mows the lawn and basic jumps the soul will get them up there very easily with great hangtime :)

Given all I;ve seen you ride for a while now is your Soul, isn’t it about time you updated that gear list. :D

And yet still doesn't change his gear list.

May I suggest core for your gear list. Everyone knows the best riders have core in their gear list. Just like writing core in black on your kites is enough to unlock most of the core performance for you. Who knew colors had this much effect on kites?

Freeride and 90kg
15—30kn wind quote]

Above 20 knots you should be fine on a TT. Less than that you will be underpowered on a 9. 15 to 30 knots is at least a 2 kite quiver. 9 & 15 for power, 7 & 12 to just ride OR 9 with a TT in higher winds and a surf board, foil, or monster door in light winds. If you can only buy one kite, boards are cheaper.

I'd say you'd better be with 10m.
