Has anyone tried making some soft ribs for the intake vents - to give better open shape in ligjt winds and to prevent any water getting in, when leading edge is on the water ?

Do you mean like the plastic cord used on the Soul LE? You can slip it between the cell seam, but will add a lot of weight. I don't see that stopping water, the vent needs to be longer to do that. Otherwise get better at not crashing it or draining the water out. The tip on the A15 is all velcroed so if it doesn't open easy and water is very slow to drain, you can damage or cover part of the velcro so it is always open and drains and opens easier. 1-2inches is good.
