With the peak4, at least, there is always pull, but very little "lift."
I.e., there is really not much increase in power as the kite accellerates.
Super low-performance and super easy to fly from one point of view, but the other side is that the kite stays in the air just fine in maybe 3 knots, so it is possible to go straight downwind with no worries, as long as you still have maybe 3 knots of apparent wind.
The reason the peak4 seems to have more power per size, is it sits way back in the flying window. It is not at all an "efficient" kite, and i think anyone who has flown one alongside any other kite would probably agree.
Even an LEI wave kite can point higher. On a hydrofoil, its easy to get upwind, so maybe pointing ability is not the main performance criteria. But it really depends on what you want.
All of the peak4's "performance" comes from the fact that it is super easy to fly, even in almost no wind.
Like anything, there is a compromise. I think its a good trade-off, for me. But if it is good for anyone else depends on what they want to get out of the gear they are using.

Yea its good compromise
But i honestly think that there is still potential for higher performance single skin with same user friendliness. Lets hope.
More brands are needed for SS development
