With every right. This is bleeding edge technology. Just because you can’t afford it doesn’t make it over priced.
I didn't say I can't afford it or it's overpriced, no need to be a dick about it.
Then I don't understand your point unless you were just stating the obvious??
No pricing was announced, so I was speculating that it will likely be more expensive than the existing VMG. It wasn't meant as a PHD thesis I needed to defend, just a small observation/speculation.

Actually prices are right in the link of the first post. Also shows sizes too.

Do those additional internal battens go all the way from the leading edge to the trailing edge?
It's hard to tell from the pics in the first post by Horst Sergio or this pic from the Flysurfer website: https://flysurfer.com/files/2020/05/VMG ... Team-5.jpg

If you have any other pics or a pencil drawing, please share. As usual a picture is worth a thousand words.

It looks a little bit like the rod makes a bend between top and lower sail. That would add stiffness in that direction as well.

So the loss of row “C” and even with the addition of battens still contributes to an overall net gain!
Nice to see continued innovationin in foil kites.

It is quite an interesting kite. 2 rows is quite extreme. 3 rows is quite easy to design for I think and is surprising it is hardly done. Flysurfer is known for some innovations that are not all they are promised. Considering bridle drag is a tiny fraction of total drag, maybe 5% with the ultra thin lines on race kites, it is chasing some quite diminishing returns. Then given the use of stiffening rods adds much weight and makes packing a pain. The rear bridle placement is quite far forward, I would guess at 75% of cord, or maybe less... I am not sure relaunch will be good or work at all, but then maybe for racing it is designed not to relaunch. You crash when racing and I guess you have already lost.
Foilholio, we’ve gone through this before. More bridles even if “super thin” will cause more drag over less thicker bridles. And where did you get this 5% number from? That’s complete BS. Lastly you say 2 row kites are “hardly” done, who else has done a two row kite?

They actually lost both C and Z, only 2 bridle conection areas, so the behaviour of the kite is changed by changing the angle of attack of the whole kite (tilting whole thing up or down) instead of changing the camber (similar to the effect that Flaps have on planes).

Pricewise, previously both Sonic Race and Sonic Race VMG where priced at the same point 2749 for a 9, 2949 USD for a 11, 3249 USD for a 15 and 3699 USD for a 21, this was excluding tax.
VMG2 seems to have similar prices in Euro, but also seems they included the VAT, in which case kites should be cheaper than previous generation.

Billie, is that yellow line going up to a break line e.g. a third gallery?
