Fibreglass has good characteristics over carbon, in terms of being able to bend and getting hammered, WITHOUT breaking
Thinking about this whenever I pack my Peak4 kites down to "nothing" in the bags, without worrying about breaking these lovely things

you may have missed the part, about Mixing Carbon, with Kevlar, Spectra, or Synthex fibers
when you stated your argument ?
How many fiberglass crash-cages , that you know of ; that can take
a crash of over 220-mph in an F-1 open cart racer ?
Answer : ----------------------------- NONE !!
In a much lower cost ratio , for builders of kites,like Flysurfer, or DIY's like us on
KF ; mixing Carbon with other materials i mentioned already , will
yield WAY higher strength / weight ratios, and stiffness than fiberglass fibers.
The flexibility needed for your project ; can easily be achieved with the materials
i'm bias towards , by utilizing the correct mix, and fiber placement ratio.
As i already stated , the only advantage for using fiberglass is , Price .
Seriously guys : your going Nowhere with your bias to using fiberglass ; there
are much better materials on the market, than that out-dated stuff. YEA
they cost more , (Much more) ; but the cost could be justified, in cretin applications
like the kite were talking about here. This IS a race kite ; isn't it ?
