Soul does not shine in 10-16mph on TT for me.. but this range happens to be super fun boosting time on race hydrofoils.. You should be getting 25-40 woo feet jumps.. Now if it gets to 20kts -15 soul is dope for TT oldskool.. a shot from yesterday..

Nice photo! How would the 15m be on a 50cm Naish bar with 24m lines ? Bit slow in guessing.

it was watching a guy on a 15 soul last summer at cleephorpes uk , that made my mind up about getting some souls , he is proberly on here , it was really windy , and not many were flying , but this guy was talking to other kite surfers with his 15 soul at the zenith and not really paying much attention to his kite and it just sat there waiting , and after a bit , he gets in the water , it was a cross wind comming off the sea mostly it was a similar wind both saturday and sunday, and he was there both days and both days he did the same start , get going for abit then got a 30 ft jump then went down wind for a long way and this intensified my attention , as i thought he will have a job to get back here , as the wind was really strong and it meant he would have to come upwind a long way ,but the soul did it superbly and the control he had , was very impressive , and those 2 days made my mind up , lots of lei's struggling a little bit and a 15 metre soul showing the way , it was very impressive , and right there right then i decided i'm getting a quiver of souls , which i did -i had brought one of the last speed 5 15metre's already (a big fan of speeds), so i brought 6,8,10,12 souls to finish off my quiver - covid19 has f**ked it up a bit , particulary as i'm on the vunerable list so i haven't been but i'am icthing

15m Foil kite will feel slow comparing to any LEI kite no matter what bar length you have. Its really worth to get Flysurfer bar for Souls as it take minutes to extend or shorten lines and it changes wind range and speed of turns.
Flown my Soul in 25kts on 17m lines I was overpowered but could handle.

Thing I like about Soul or probably other foil kite is that if you crash after trick, it will likely stay in sky even if your line are slack for a little time, LEI would crash land often reversing itself (had few time on switchblades).

There are two guys in my home spot who own a Soul 15 and they're both very happy with it, to be honest more than with the 12. I don't know why but everyone who buyed a set of Souls told me that 8, 10 and 15 are amazing, the 12 is maybe the "worst" size. No particular problems but the overall flying experience is not good as with the 15 or the smaller sizes.
Really interesting. I have a 9, 12 and a 15 Soul. Love them all. But if you asked me which one I like flying most, it's definitely my 12. It's the sweet spot for these kites for me.

It's not my direct experience anyway, I reported what I heard on the beach. I tested the 12 twice but for my taste it was to much "pump", never flown another size.

My favorite Soul is the 10. It is a smaller kite, but still give incredible boosts and hang-time.

Keep in mind that a 15 Soul is equivalent to a 17 LEI. The flatter profile of a foil kite offers additional power.

I don’t fly my 15 in light wind as the 18 or 21 allow you to jump better. You can still ride with the 15, but that is the beauty of the larger sizes. Instead of “mowing the lawn” you are jumping and if you catch a good gust the hang-time of the larger kites is incredible.

The line lenght will be perferct. I used to use the Soul 15 with 3 meter extensions so somewhere on 23 or 24 meter. However it would be faster on a 55 or 60 cm bar.

I used 55cm RRD V8.2 bar for the photoshoot. Works ok but 60cm would have been better..
The reason I used RRD - unbeatable price for $325 new and pretty thick lines... Also has a stopper..
