I gave it a good go quite a few hours over a few days but took
neilhapgoods advice and booked it in to the loftworkshop for them to have a go. 35 pound an hour so hopefully they can sort it quick. You know to let someone else have a go when your close to just saying f*** it and cutting the damn things! I dont have the patience the best of times but damn that was stressful haha. Thanks for the advice in future I know what to do so it doesnt get so bad again.

Good luck with the bridals and stick with it, flying foils is very different to LEI's. Give it 5 sessions at least and then see how you are getting on with the new kite. I have not flown a soul but they are very popular.

Thanks mate yeah I will stick with it. I still think someone needs to design a kite with the benefits of a foil without the need for some many bridle lines. Carbon fibre rods inside or something and a few bridles strategically placed

treat it as quiet zen time. Resist the urge to pull!....use finger tips to always massage and loosen the nest progressively...take time and look a at the loops and segments to spot small loops that are preventing progress. It's actually very satisfying in the end to win. My fav's are when people leave a flapping wing tip in high wind on the beach....instant softball sized ball of knot.

I had the same case when I pulled the safety once, entire left bridle tangled in a clump of size of a fist. Took it to the hotel, found a spot in the shade and began the surgery. Took about 30 minutes. Just loosened it a bit and began to pull the loops.

Here's a nice video explaining what to do from 3:42. It's on the bar, but it's relevant to the bridles too.

Its called the hyperlink. It's not immune to tangles but the sheathed and shorter bridles are much less prone to tangles and easier to untangle when they do.
