What Chrono is that V1/2/3 or 4? I've not seen those colours before?

tried steves Ozone R1 11mtr at the weekend, blow away by its boosting power and unbelievable float, got my best ever smoothest landing from a good boost, wing just entered surface a few cm, gripped, and off I went without ever getting near the surface tried another and near did the same, very impressed with the way the R1 lifts,
the lift was very alarming at times for someone like me who has never flown the R1 before, this experience made me order the V4 Chrono 11mtr, as I was told by someone in the know the V4 chrono was very much like the R1, a few less cells, similar outline, the new hyperlink v2 cloth, same bridal quality as the v3 chrono and hyperlinks, but 25% less bridal line than the outgoing V3 Chrono.
My red 11mtr V4 Chrono came yesterday, and I got a sail on it today in winds that would not bother a feather, and of course as with all my kites it was weighed before leaving the house, naked without bag,
it's lighter than the outgoing v3 11mtr chrono ulight that I had,
1.82 kg for the new Chrono, my old chrono v3 ULight 11mtr when brand new weighed in at 1.96kg,
interestingly my new 11mtr V4 chrono at 1.82kg weighs even less than my 9mtr soul (1.9kg) that I had a few months back.
too early to give much feedback as I am still buzzing from today, and need a good long session in varying winds to get a better balanced view on this new kite, enough to confirm at the moment that the boosting feels just like the R1, so impressive,
unbelievably stable,
super easy on launch, i had no wing tip flutter or flapping as I launched, but the kite seemed to fill easily before it was even off the sand, I think the front edge battens force a much better shape into the front end even as it sits on the ground, this gave me a little problem on packing the kite down as the cloth is super slippy and the air inside the kite likes to stay in there up near the leading edge, more patience is needed on pack down than with the V3 chrono, perhaps this is a good feature I am thinking, easier water relaunch I am expecting, no floppy ear drama in launching is good, the huge lift on my Silly light wind starts today was impressive.
red/with white tip looks great, very liverpool Fc colours, which is where I was sailing today, well around 4 miles away.

Sounds good! Did you have to wait long for the kite? Or did someone have one in stock?

that was a surprise as well, I expected a 2 or 3 month wait, but no! went through Mark at Boardwork and got mine delivered 20 hours later.
In the uk I believe green is in stock, a few reds left, no black with a 10 week wait (but thats just for the 11mtr)
custom colour tool on line was not working, but decided red was for me anyways, as a custom colour would be an even longer wait.
date of production on my kite says made in november 2020.
bridals really do look much smaller.

one point that made me happy was my 11mtr flew great on my 23mtr lines, the recommended length say 20mtr or less or slightly more, but even in mega light wind the kite was super responsive, easy double loops without fear of getting my kite ears wet, instant bar to kite response, much better than I had expected.

Sounds great! Did they mention whether custom colours cost extra?

Ozone appear not to have published the Chrono V4 bridle diagram yet. It would be interesting to see which bridles they have removed from V3 to V4? Or is it that there are the same number of bridles, but that the bridle lengths are shorter?

Ah I missed that bridle diagram on the website.

I have compared both bridle diagrams and there is really a huge reduction in bridle attachment points from the V3 to the V4 Chrono.

11m V3 Chrono has a total of 104 bridle attachment points.
11m V4 Chrono has a total of 76 bridle attachment points.

Now I've had 3 sessions on my new ChronoV4 13m.
I really like the new material. It's feels super light and durable. Performance wise it's more like the R1. I've tried both all-around settings and twitip settings. With the TT settings the bar pressure is almost like the V3. The kite feels loser on the bar and steering but turns nice. The lift feels less punchy then the V3. Hard to say which kite lift more but I would give it to the V3. Might be that it's a different technique. The biggest concern for me is that it pivot turns easy when you turn hard and it drops you down quickly.
This makes it hard to heliloop which I like to do a lot.
The V3 has never had this issue. I think the V4 is super nice for foiling. It's super smooth and very easy on the bar.
I still have my V3 and might keep it.
Would like to hear/see more reviews what other experienced Chrono kiters think.
