What is the rubbish here talking about sand in the trailing edge?

Hi Foil. I think they are referring to sand trapped in the trailing edge seam like in the photo below.

I have never had this issue with my 13m Ozone Chrono V3 Ultralight.

@foil - I know you have owned several foil kites from both Ozone and Flysurfer -- have you personally seen this issue in any of your kites?

I have UL 13m and heaps of sand in TE. Just like on my R1.

On my Soul there is no sand at all as well as on Sonic v1, which I owned.

The difference is not sewing. It is the special webbing used on FS TE, and probably patented.

AL is typical in his replies. However, the number of kites on a beach is quite evident, Ozone and FS are on par.

And to be fair, long bridles are just for advanced riders, maybe 1-5% will ever touch it. To ride a car, I do not need to be a mechanic, do I?

Btw Sonic v3 is amasing. But it sinks just like Chrono or R1. Evidence again is on my local. If u do not swim in, u not pushing it. Simple as that.

The sewing is just that. There is no magic in it.

However, the fabric and how it is folded is clearly visible. Sand will always get trapped in Ozone kites. Unless they fix the issue. Can they?

Although the problem of sand getting stuck in the trailing edge of a foil kite is less of a problem with newer versions, I thought I should share a solution I developed to solve this problem.

The video demonstrates the problem on an older V1 Chrono .

It’s easy when you know how, just make sure the kite/sand Is super dry.
