I bought a slightly used Soul V2 10m and made a mixer test. What caught my attention was this little knot in the bridle line. I have no idea, how this can happen.
Do I have to worry the reduced breaking load of the line, or is this no matter ?
Ps: This is the B-Line
That looks like a bridle repair. Either someone replaced a line or did a quick repair like that. If it flies fine, don't worry about it. If the kite has a slight quirk, you can manually measure out that line and the connecting one with the online line plane on FS website.
Also you can watch the characteristics of the fabric surface while you power/depower to see if there's any unusual stretch. Personally, I'd just measure out the line. Doesn't take long to do and it's a peace of mind.
Hi thanks for the replies.
The knot is only on one side of the kite, nowhere else.
My 6m also don't has a knot in the bridle lines.
Seller mentioned nothing regarding any repairs.
I have a few days left to return, I think I send it back.
This little knot is freaking me out.
Mixer test on that side was also of: b-1 cm and c+1cm
Have no chance to make a test flight and see how it behaves in the air

look closer, this in the A near the tip (less load) in my brand new 6m v2:
Evan you are spot on, these knots are freaking everywhere. Absolutely normal.
I don't know how I could have missed that yesterday.
Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help.
Last september I spent two weeks in the beautiful Sardinia North Shore. The wind wasn't strong at all so I had some sessions with my kitefoil gear, TT board (the new Radical 7 128) and the Flysurfer Souls 10 and 12 m. I've found both these two sizes simply perfect for my weight (77 Kg). I can foil starting by 7 Knots and having fun with a TT board from 12 to 27 Knots. Two kite quiver for flat water? Why not.
Cheers
Carlo
