I made this mod to a 12m Genesis [AR=3.8] inspired by 10m Speed4DLX that only uses A, B & Z Mains [AR=4.8]. Works excellent. Plan to design & tune lengths for this mod on a 12m A15 next [AR=4.2]. Don't think it is a good mod for a higher aspect ratio kite like the Aurora.

I , (Like) it !!
If you sheet in a tad ; do you get More pull, with a bit Less drag , (the kite doesn't lag back
in the window) as much as just adding brakes, without the camber change ?

Hi Bille, My idea comes from Flysurfer’s Speed4DLX and F-One’s Diablo1 kites. The Speed4 uses 3 span rows with a single pulley mixer. The Diablo uses a “Turbo” line so mid-sheeting C=Z. This mixer reverses the idea so Z=C mid-sheeting.
My goal was to match the low AR 12m Genesis with a low AR HF Surf wing. Original setup turns/reacts too slow, tried a pulley bar and that was ok but awkward. Then last year pulled it out again and tried the Jackovmixer which was another improvement. I think this 2:1 mixer works even better.
I tried adding a little camber by adjusting B-Mains from 8" to 8.5", turns slower, slower depower feel, but smoother. At 8" B-Main the kite has a quicker depower & turn feel. If trying this mod test a few B-Main lengths to find the sweet spot you like...

That mixer is not 2:1 because there is not such pull ratio there. Jackomixer is 2:1 mixer. But it is true assigning mixers is a bit messy. Way to manage it is to just understand pulling relations of each line row, that is enough.
If you pull C as much as brakes there is an issue: either C is pulled too much or D too little.
Fixed A line row is the fulcrum point depowerable kite rotates around when AoA changes. If pulling ratios don't change geometrically in relation to line row positions kite shape will distort. This can be beneficial in some cases but it has to be quite moderate because distorted shape creates too much drag.
Designer of kite of course knows which kind of mixer there will be and he locates line rows accordingly (or at least he should
)

Does this mod for the genesis have more or less bar pressure compared to Jackomixer?

Less and it doesn't depend if it is on Genesis or some other kite. Jackomixer pulls 2:1 brakes, this mod only usual 1:1.
If C is pulled same as D it means D is pretty much useless, slacking. But perhaps there is some line tension in brakes at least in the beginning of powering up. It depends kite shape/size, line row locations, sheeting range etc.
Functionally Jackomixer is same as usual 1:2:4 mixer with a pulley bar. It is logical mixer in that sense it does not distort kite any more than original mixer.

I am afraid it is not true. Jackomixer is not equivalent to standard 1:2:4 mixer, and so not equivalent to a pulley bar. Jackomier is 1:2:3 as far as i remember : it decreases profile camber when pulled in (versus standard 1:2:4 mixer)

I’d say the same
