Has anyone tried the new kaupter xt falcon foilkite?
Seems extremely light and looks quite nice.

Interesting and I would also like to know. Their bar isn’t very foil kite friendly and I’m doubtful about this but we shall see. More competition is always great.

Interesting, if it is double skin than weight is really quite imprsessive comparing with the price. Still i don’t understand where is point to make double skin for foiling? If it is such ultra light weight than much high and big jumps dedicated. Much better for foiling goes single or hybrid kites if without jumping.

Like for the pulsion with about same weight, you should be able to jump ! And relaunch better than a single skin even in 6 knots, and more speed/fun during the ride.
I like this Falcon and would like to try !!!!
Curious about the aspect ratio...

As I understand it most single skin (peak) enthusiasts don’t like the larger ones ( >5m ) because they are so boring to ride.
Also single skins are very good at some things like drift but I understand it’s pretty darn hard to learn new things on because it provides so little lift Eg during tacks/ foot switches etc.
Also relaunch is probably easier with double skin
I only have tube kites (at the moment) but it seems people prefer double over single skin and vice versa depending on what conditions and they want to do. So I would say there is a market for both.

Interesting, but I am concerned that the weight savings also come with more fragility. A light kite is of no use if it´s in repair all the time.

I don’t think it’s impossible to have an aluula foil kite at some point. They were saying it was possible to make an aluula ripstop equivalent.
However the current aluula gold version is still a lot heavier compared to ripstop and therefore is “just” a Dacron replacement.
So it’s probably still many years before they make a ripstop replacement, make it in enough quantities and have it at a price that manufacturers will consider it for designing a foil with it.

Good looking mid AR kite. Cell count is 39.
Fabric must be extremely light weight if 11m kite weighs less than 1,5kg. Design of kite is typical - but not cheap or simple - which makes both light weight and fair price even more respectable. I must say I am pretty impressed now and looking forward to more details and user reviews etc of this kite
Definitely
