Why do some traditional ABCZ mixers have the pulley lines attached on A in different positions and some in same spot? How does this affect the ratio and AoA pivot?
Example of B and C pulley lines attached together on A:
1. Flysurfer Peak, Speed5, and Sonic(1,2)
Example of B and C attached separately on A:
1. Ozone Chrono, Hyperlink
2. F-one Diablo, Halo
3. Flysurfer Soul

Not functional difference but if you have B pulley line attached higher it can be a bit shorter.

In my two pulley mixers (fully adjustable) there is only three parts (lines) but if you like to make it more complex you can. I prefer light weight, easy adjustability and simplicity

Ideally you want the line A-Z to be twice the length of A-C so the shrinkage of both lines will have the least effect on the speed system trim settings. There are no other differences between those setups.

A quick look suggests to me that if the mixer operates within a single vertical line there would be no difference but if the elements are separated than there will be a difference that will be a tangential function of that distance and the angle subtended by the pulley line. It is just the geometry of the various mixers.

i don't know if favorite is correct word but most useful and most used is 1:2:4 two pulley mixer. It does very much what mixer needs to do when kite has A B C and brake line rows. In most cases it makes possible kite to change its AoA from full depower to the back stall limit (or pass it) using normal bar sheeting range. And it allows this without distorting kite shape. (Mild camber increase when powering up is possible though, if it is designed in kite)
If kite has less line rows one pulley mixer can be enough but there is some other possibilities as well.

That wouldn't help. There is adjustment to level mixer (or should be) and if pulley lines are too worn out or shrunk just replace
