i sometimes think a 5m, 9m,, 15m (hyperlink, hyperlink, chrono) would be ultimate 3 kite quiver.
That would be a fantastic quiver!

Interesting views ..and I guess there is no one way to approach kite sizing as conditions and hydrofoil wing varies ..for example you can have 11m Sonic and 6m Soul as AL if you are using a surf wing but for me 11m in 8 knots will be absolutely boring on a race hydrofoil wing on flat water..here i'd be going as big as possible 18m/15m..what I gather is most of the foilers are on wave oriented gear or others who are racing are not on this forum so most of the posts in foil kites and hydrofoil section should be considered in light of this..
If we compare sonic 3 vs soul in 15m I think for 5-10kts Soul would be the better choice (check Armins light wind test video) but Sonic shines in higher winds...and higher wind range ..that said if I'm starting again, I'll consider a Chrono or Kitech FRS UL 15/18m for the low end as these kites are lighter and less AR..
Glad we have such a good choice these days :)

It’s very much personal preference but I have always had a 3m gap between my kites and despite seeing if an 18m and 12m would work,I felt that a 15m was needed to fill the gap.
Last years season was short with the wind never being quite right for the 18m, resulting with the 15m & 12m being used on a regular basis.

At 70 KG the 13 is as big as I want to go .....currently running 6 and 10 speeds and 13 sonic.

Though an 8 would be sweet for 25 knt days
