A kite by goldsmith design, awesome. They build by far the prettiest paragliders.

The pictures of the software they show looks pretty much impressive to me, as the title of his study: “Fluid-structure interaction simulations of highly deformable sails.”

Very nice to have such a serious and experienced brand entering foil kite market. :)

I see here many others trying to enter the difficult market of foil kites mostly with only a one trick pony argument as: "We are the cheapest" or "We have the lightest double skin" etc. which not necessarily means too much R&D to be expected, just using cheaper sale structure or lighter cloth which could not just reduce price and weight, but also sustainability.

But Airwave seems to be something completely different.
Come to stay and to hopefully produce some serious development pressure to Ozone and Flysurfer. :thumb:

It sure looks pretty. Also it looks heavy but I guess that will depend on what fabric they use. Should mean though it will hold up to abuse well. Interested in seeing the bridle.

There is some interesting cell shaping going on here! Even if the planform is reminiscent of the Soul, it is clear Airwave is doing their own work rather than copy paste.
