they need a bigger size though....
They have.. I’m flying with it..

And AL, my paraglider isn’t heavy.. 😎
kinda apples to oranges. Your paraglider isn't designed to take a ground impact over and over again I assume?

"Chord cut billow" tech is interesting though but how much it really helps, hard to say. Kites with traditional cells (with more cells than 35) are pretty clean too.

These things relate to cell count, airfoil shape and amount of canopy curve, but it is true there is double curvature there.

At least bridle of the kite (Koala(?)) is quite primitive, about twenty years ago foil kites used to be like that. Other than that (which pretty bad website allows to find out) kite looks good mid AR kite.

I wouldn't give much value for bold claims and fancy names for techniques, programs or simulations. Huge amount of line drag alone is a bit too suspicious. Yes, wing itself looks clean but not cleaner than Ozone and FS kites. They also have things like "OZ CAD", "chord wise ballooning", "rigid foils" and who knows what LOL

Please explain the “primitive” bridle differences?

Lots of bridle line because bridle is on every rib. Other way to make it primitive is to have too few bridle levels (even only one), which increase total line length even more. But it makes no sense to explain how primitive bridles can be done, more reasonable goal is not to make them at all.

No AL, my PG and I are not designed for ground impact..
But to be honest no kite, tube or foil, is designed for that.

OK, they have wrong line plan (not Koala) under that button. Correct one can be found in "Manual en V1", at the end of it.

This one looks reasonable and makes sense to the structure of kite. There is still D line row (at the center of kite) which is a bit weird nowadays but ok, not a big deal. More line support at the cost of more drag.

Speed system is still a partial mystery but it seems there is at least one pulley in it LOL

They also have an illustration of doubled "three piece" D-ribs (which allow 4 unbridled ribs, or 4 or 5 cells). However there isn't such thing in Koala kite so it is a bit misleading.
But it is fine tech, you can't argue that.

It was about 2008 I made my first foil kite which never collapsed, 0 times during several years I used it. It was 100% stable. It easily flied on A lines only, it kept flying when low AR FS kites collapsed constantly in gusts. It had full cell D-ribs from A to C, low drag bridle and modern two pulley 1:2:4 mixer, low-mid AR and 23 cells IIRC.

So I don't buy it when they say biggest downfall of foil kites is lack of stability and they have now solved it.

Actually that’s incorrect. Flysurfer designs their foils for ground impacts. There’s a YouTube video floating around when they were testing the Soul and were constantly tomahawking it.

Right, so the other brands are not doing the same? Only FS is? I alai think none are. Who else think the same, kites are not designed for impact?

Intrestingly, our local kite doctor has about the same number of broken panels from the two major brands.

Maybe u just dont smash yours hence sewing is not stretched by a few mm?
