For the 15m to not be making power in 18kn there is a drastic problem, I have flown the 15m in about 8kn and found enough power for my 115kg to get lifted into the air.
i fuuuuuly agree .. Look what a 15m2 looks like in 20 knots and my 61 kg behind the bar .... :-o

@derek440, thx for the info.bought the kite secondhand but it was like new. Inflating works perfect( quiker than sonic), stallpoint is very far away. it seems the kite doesnt want to,lol. tried 3 different bars so far. Genetrix,Cabrinha and now the Kite Attitude bar. you mentioned flying in 8 knots, on land i pressume? with 15knots i can go on the water with a TT but thats it. weight 86kg. below 15knots it stays in the air fine but no kiting. will try a FS bar as soon we have wind again.

I can fly Spirit 15m in 8kn on the water no problem with hydrofoil and I am 115kg. Sounds like someone has changed the pigtails on the kite or something like that. If the stall point is a long way away and you can test that by pulling the leaders until the kite stalls then try shortening the back lines/pigtails until the kite just stall when the bar is fully sheeted in, then it should be making heaps of power.

anyone use a flysurfer bar with Gin spirit? I see the connection points are different than Flysurfer. two loops and two knots.

For a quick and dirty fix you can swap the front and back pigtails on the bar. The colours of the pigtails probably won't match so you need to take a bit of care when rigging.

For a permanent solution make (or buy) some new pigtails to make the kite compatible with your existing bar setup.

It would be nice if manufacturers simply made the front and rear pigtails interchangeable then all these problems would go away.

I'd love to spend some time under one, it sounds great. Sadly I've been out for about a year now due to a bad shoulder surgery. Looks like I can start kiting again soon though so maybe I'll get a chance.

ouch that's rough Adventure Logs, get better soon, I think I would loose my mind no kiting for a year, 2 weeks is bad enough.

anyone have feedback on water drainage on this kite? I had mine out, and could not relaunch and it filled up with a lot of water, in a 15 minute swim. I am not sure if it was the water conditions, water was very calm no waves, and wind was very light. from this one experience, it filled up more than my Sonic 3.
