Hi guys,
Any one got a 13 and 11m sonic 3 and can comment. Kite speed boost and hang time etc?
After one of these but don’t know what size to get?
Is the 13m way slower? Is the 11m ok for old school tricks? Does it give you time for board offs etc or the 13 better? Are they faster than the soul 10 ?
Grateful for any preference advice and why?

Definately Not faster than the soul series, I have the 15m sonic 3 and am not impressed with it compared to the sonic 2 at all.
Its a nice kite in terms of look and features but just a little bit slower too redirect on jumps and seems to have a slight laggy feel sometimes mayb thats wht gives the extra hangtime but im not convinced so far. Im wondering if playing around with the pma settiings would help. May be the smaller sizes are different and a better option.

It depends on your weight and wind!

It’s more which is the most fun more than conditions of use. If you could have either one which would you not want to be without?

The 15m soul was sluggish and boring hence I sold that. I’m only interested in the 13 and 11m for that reason. The 12m soul was nice and a bit more manoeuvrable.
I have the 10m soul v1 which I love but my misses likes that too so was thinking I might like the sonic so she can have the 10 soul.

Depends a lot of your quiver, weight and wind profile. I chose 11m to company my 15m Sonic3. With 11m I can foil board in quite low winds already, and if not enough I can still swap to 15m. Then on TT on shallow beaches where foil cannot be used the 15m is nice, and with 11m I can expand range nicely if wind is a bit higher.
My weight is over 100kg and I live in low wind area where over 5m/s winds are 'rare' like maybe once per 2 weeks in summer.
--
So my guidance would be, if this is to be your largest kite and you have and want to utilize lower wind ranges, go for 13m. But naturally 11m is a bit faster on turns (less inertia and less span), and if you are light rider you can also accomplish a lot with 11m on low wind.
Remember when choosing that size is linear scaling of force (pull), but flying speed is quadruple scaling. So you could even take 11m and 4-6m line extensions to allow it fly more faster because longer acceleration and more room for fast arc turns in light winds.
Hang time is dependant on wing loading and on 13m wing loading is less. But also in that equation is how high you can jump 11m vs 13m, if you can jump 13m exactly as high and wing loading is less, you have longer hangtime in seconds. But if you jump 1m less with 13m and wing loading sink is 0.2m/s less for 13m then on 5s jump the hang time is equal. It will be more affected by your skill (initially).
--
So I would choose between 11m/13m based on my wallet, wind atlas of my area, my weight and other quiver. Maybe single kite for me would be 13m with my mass and selection of boards (TT, door-TT, hydrofoil). But I already had 15m Sonic3 so 11m is good match for it. I was even thinking 9m Sonic3 but with my weight and TT-range I went for 11m.

I have the 11m and if you get 15-25kt wind this is a great kite for jumping ...This is my go-to kite for jumping with race hydrofoil. Definitely its more fun than larger sizes but I have no clue what wind range and weight your looking for

I own a 13, excellent and super funny. At about 70 kgs., I can stay upwind with a TT from about 10, jumping good from about 12. Nice till ~20. In subten, I use a large TT (Shinn Bronq XL 150x50). Never tested an 11 probably faster and sportier.
