Hey Guys
I'm looking at a smaller PEAK (3m) for 25 kts gusting to 35kts plus storms and rainy days..How does Peak handle rain compared to LEI? Usually rain front comes and then there is a big lull after ..here I think Peak will hang in the air without a lot of input compared to 1 strut or Cloud ..I see few guys on Clouds blasting around but they struggle when a big lull comes as on rainy days wind range is massive ..I get that Peak has limited wind range but what I hate most is kites in the water ..can handle overpowered pretty well ..so this is all a compromise and worst case I can change kites as peak is easy launch and packup ..

It is much better than a cloud in low wind. I would say as long it is 2-3knots you can keep it in the air.
It can handle rain quite well. It doesn't feel heavier.
But a cloud is much easier to relaunch when the wind gets back, if you drop it.

perfect this is what I was looking for..I dont expect to relaunch Peaks so if it hangs in 3 knots that's great...will try the top end on Peak 3m ..maybe gusts 40kts
I find small Peak and big Hydrofoil a good combo for a storm...
not sure you can get lofted on 3m under 40kts

For the mentioned wind range you need a smaller peak..

I had one rainy session with the 5 m² Peak. Not different to dry conditions, I´d say.
As Janus said, the 3 m² Peak will not handle 30+ kts I guess. I had my 4 m² Peak out in 16-20 kts and the 20 kts was the upper wind limit (comfortably).
I don´t have the 3 m² Peak, but I guess it will go up to maybe 25 kts, probably not much higher. Wind range of the Peaks is rather small.

i think Peak 4 will suit my needs ..basically I need a kite which is challenging meaning cannot drop and if it holds gusts 30-35kts for a short period of time its enough..besides in storms its survival riding and that's the fun part...I'm just bored with normal foiling and want to get out when its pretty rough..now I use a 6m Edge with TT 30-40kts

Agree, a 3 m2 starts from 15 knots on a wave kitefoil, but above 25 I would never use it.
So should be for short periods only, survival.

The Peak is quite horrible in its upper wind range, the flapping of the canopy is really annoying and violent if the bar is pushed out. You really need to to use the appropriate size Peak for the wind range and the 3 mtr won’t be much fun when the winds are approaching 30knots.
Peaks excel drifting along while on a wave, above 25 knots there is plenty of wind to keep the kite up even when running straight downwind unless your on a racefoil.
