Yes, I wondered about that knot too. When I was tuning a Sonic 2 I had to remove the knots to get the mixer test right. No idea why they are there, but maybe to give more adjustment if required. Anyway, the kite is flying great again so all good.
And why don’t ozone use LCL’s, makes trimming so easy on the beach. Adding pigtails to adjust for tip tuck takes seconds.
