Or the Ozone Alpha onestrut which is superlight, but V1 did not meet expectations it seems, as I know a guy who sold all his.
Maybe V2 has changed if there were "issues"? (I dont know, only this one guy but havent asked why)
Or the AiRush One.
The new Storm Voyager 2022 strutless could also be a consideration - but I dont know anything about it yet, nor the weight.

These would be some of my choices, based on weight and good brands.

But as you can see, I am not up to par with newer superlight LEI's so I am probably not the right one to ask

Hi Peter, why not Airush Ultra instead of One? Another kite to consider if someone is already with Core like me is Xlite in size 10m.

Sorry, maybe it was the Airush Ultra I meant?
I thought it was just renamed, but maybe not

It was the first really light onestrut kite they made, probably in a newer version now - but it has good reputations all over.

I tried the very first model down in Langebaan in South Africa years ago, worked great.

Yes Airush Ultra is super light weight 1S and One is similar but traditional material from what sell rep told me.
Any point to have LEI larger than 10m if someone rides large wing like Onda?

I would say yes.

You start earlier with a 12 than a 10, and it still turns way faster than any foilkite :thumb:

Using Onda sized foil wings.

Dont forget board size also helps regarding low end.

From my experience, at 82 kg on the moses 633, the 11meter peak 4 is working at 8 knots, but over powered in 12 knots.

I have no doubt there are better options out there for performance.

Peaks are good for wave riding and ease of handling, but the 8 meter is already only working well in specific conditions, and the 11meter is way out: only good as an easy-handling light-wind kite (unless you drop it).

if your problem is the slow speed of foil kites, get an Alpha or Ultra 10m and forget foil kites. They'll start to fly on 8 knots, will give you the speed of a LEI kite and you'll have a floating kite if the wind drops to nothing.

my 0.02

btw, I have Soul 12m and 15m and almost always ride an Alpha v1 8m (starting on 8 knots)

72kg and 1000 cm^2 wing.

8 knots
This is so inconsistent a measurement among kiters. I don’t know what to believe when people write about low wind numbers. My suspicion is that most people’s “8 knots” is usually more like 10 knots. I have 3-4 quality wind meters at varying heights near my local sites. I’m an expert light wind kitefoiler and when the meters are readying avg 8 knots I can “sometimes” get going with my 15m Sonic Race on long lines. Depends on the current, and consistency of the wind. Maybe my wind sucks and has lots of holes…

72 kg with 1000 wing in 8 knots with 8m lei? Simply impossible!

Close to the beach on my local spot is usually the condition we have. It's not easy to start but as we go more onshore the wind usually is 2-3k stronger.

The perfect size for me would me the 10m. This is why I've suggested on this size instead of the 8m for someone in the 70-80kg.

Friend of mine claim that as long as he can keep kite in air he can ride foil. From my own short experience it is a BS.
8-12kts for a 92kg ride and Onda I need 10 or 12m LEI like Core Xlite? I did ride in 13-16kts mine XR6 8m and zeeko blater, hence I thought 10m LEI light weight will be enough for Onda in 8-12kts?
