I had high hopes for this concept especially for light winds but in practice it is not for me. I tried with 125L wing board. Normal water start on the side of the window. Managing the kite in light winds and chop while trying to climb on the board is quite a challenge compared to the wing tube that helps to balance while climbing up.
Maybe it makes sense for a _very_ skilled rider who is committed to having just one board. But that one board would be a smallish wing board and way too big to get the most out of kite foil. I can't imagine it would help anybody learn faster.

i can see a benefit with a big board.. and short mast...
..but i dont really see why you'd want to go bigger than surfboard size
