I'm looking to buy a 11m foil kite, I have found a very good deal on a new V3 11m Chrono. I have been kitesurfing for 20yrs (advanced freestyle) and want to try foils for big air (16m to 20m range), old school rotations and board off's, currently 88kgs and riding a Shinn Monk 135cm. I would be flying the Chrono on a Naish ATB bar (50/55cm) and targeting the 20 to 35mph range. The other option is to wait for a second hand Flysurfer Sonic 11m ? Ideally I would like a Flysurfer Soul but the reviews of the 12m are not too flattering, and the 10m might be slightly too small for what I'm after. All advice greatly appreciated.

11m foil kite seems large for 20 to 35mph winds. I'm closer to 82 kg, but my Soul 10m would be too large for those winds. But I also think that big air/old school is more fun in lower wind conditions (16-22 mph) with slightly bigger kites, which might suit the 11m Chrono better.
Seen one of the local riders on a Sonic (3) looks a fantastic kite boosts really well - especially in its lower wind range ....but as I weigh 70 kg .....the 9 is more tempting
Sonic 3 is great ..I have the 11m and no complaints ..compared to R1, Sonic 3 loops better as the wingtips are rounded..light bar pressure and the fastest inflation of any foil kite
Here is a video of Jamie Overbeek on 11m Chono V4 in 26 to 36knots.
The Chrono V3 and V4 are both excellent kites (I've owned both in 13m sizes). The V4 only comes in an Ultralight cloth. V3 was offered in both standard and Ultralight cloth.
If you plan to use the kite only for twintip then the V3 standard cloth should be fine. However, if you plan to use the kite also for hydrofoil in under 10knots then I would highly recommend the V3 Ultralight cloth (Or V4).
Chrono v3 looks awesome for big air, also the Gin Spirit are actually very similar to the Chrono V4 (or v3 light-cloth) in many ways. The US dealer @captainkirkUSA is regularly hitting over 20m in the Gin Spirit, check out his Insta. So yeah I reckon the 11m Chrono3 would be great for what you want.
