None of them i would think.

A Peak a tad bigger than 8 m2 would probably be comparable (but doesn't exist)

I think Peak5 in 8 m2 comes pretty close though.

If I can pick up a discounted Peak 4, is it worth it? Is the 5 so much better that it is hardly a deal if the 4 is $200 cheaper? I never had a Peak so I wonder if the Peak 4 is still a good choice now that the 5 is in peoples hand. Any insight? Usually with LEI kites the improvements are marginal.

I am a bit confused WHY you want a big Peak kite?

Your Cloud 10.4 would IMO be better and more fun :-)

Only downside is you need a pump - and it takes longer to rig and go foil

Regarding Peak4 versus 5, they both have slight advantages over each other, so you dont have to go for the 5.

Up in the big sizes I have no idea about the differences - dont know if others have experience this early?

In the "real" sizes meaning 2.5 up to 6 m2, the differences exist, but you can choose either the Peak4 or Peak5 IMO, without worrying about it.

@Peter_Frank Yeah, you got me confused with someone else it seems. I don't have any Cloud kites. Just looking into getting my first Peak kite. Never rode one.

Can you elaborate a bit on what each model year's differences? Peak4 vs Peak5 that is.

At this point I feel the 6m size it the one I would get first. So most interested in comparison of the Peak4 vs Peak5 in size 6m.

Go with peak5!

For my kind of riding they soo muuch better. You never get these folding wingtips, drifts better, don't invert, better relaunch.

However if you use them in the lower range, you might get the peak4.

This is for 4m and 5m. Personally, I got suprised how much better they are.

Could you or someone write what wind range is of Peak5 5 and 6 meters kites? As i understood from this forum posts for 70 kg person:

Peak5 6m is from about 9 (8) knots till 15 (16)?

and for Peak5 5m 10 (9) till 18 (19) knots?

Was out yesterday.
Peak5 4m
Average wind 9m/s
Gust 12-14m/s
Weight 88kg
Foil art899

Felt mostly a little bit overpowered. Wind readings from a reliable windstation nearby.

A99, that range sounds realistic, although maybe 8 knots is too low for a 6m.

I would also go for the new peak5 for the slightly increased range, resell value and better material. To be fair: drift, relaunch, wingtip folds and invert seems the exact same to me.

The new 6m peak5 to me feels better than the 5m peak4 I had before.
