had my first session today on peak5 8m after my trusty ole peak4 8m died a few weeks ago. it's probably not fair to compare that 5 year old over-used kite to a brand new one, but the Peak5 sure felt a lot better in the air to me. And while riding a wave, i completely flew under it, the lines went total slack, and i knew it was coming down. But amazingly, it didn't. i jumped off my foil board to turn and see where it was, and it was slowly drifting but in perfect form. it sort of caught up to me while descending, and i looped it, and it was ready to go. maybe i was just ridiculously lucky, but that was a great first impression.

I flew my 2.5m Peak 5 for the first time this weekend. It packs quite a punch through the Power Zone for such a tiny kite!
It's going to be perfect for my high wind foiling days.
What size bars are you all using on your 4m and 2.5m Peaks?
I was thinking of picking up a carbon PKS KISS 45cm or 50cm bar for them on 21m lines.

I just built up a 45cm KISS bar for this purpose with ozone race lines and the simplicity and lightness is awesome. Haven’t used it much yet so can’t really review. My complete bar weighed in at 299g.

I got 17m and then decided to pick up some 5m extensions to have on hand.

If it's a dedicated bar I would go 45cm, it helps tame the turning a little. I would do 15-17m lines with extensions to around 21m. Enjoy the 2.5m. It's a little demon!

Thanks! Would you also recommend a 45cm bar for the 4m Peak 5?
I was thinking of getting just one bar for both kites since I don't get enough big wind days for the 2.5m.

4m Peak5 is great on 50cm connect bar. I also have my Peak4 3m on a shorter bar (I think 46 cm) because it felt twitchy on 50cm.

In my experience the 3 and 4 m2 works just fine on a "std" bar around 50 cm.
It is the delicate sheeting which is sensitive, and bar length doesnt matter for this.
Having said that, if you have a bar for each kite, go shorter with the smallest ones as it feels like a better match - one does not want a longer bar than needed

I would go 50cm then.
