Hi all.
I currently have an 13m Ozone Chrono V4. Do people think a 17m, 18m or 19m Ozone R1 is the right choice of kite size for 1 size up from 13m (considering I'm only going to own 1 kite bigger than 13m). I am 88kg and plan to use it for freerace discipline.
Thanks

15m will probably let you start in same wind as 19m but 19m will make tacks much easier in light wind. I ride the Moses 637 with pocket board and use 11m and 18m Diablo race kites at 75kg. I upgraded my 15m to 18m for easier tacks in 6 knots. I don’t compete but I like cruising fast in light wind.

Yeah the big kites really help with tacking in light wind, also water starting is easier with an 18 than a 15m in the very very light stuff. Most people here either go 10,13,18 quiver or 11,15,21 but i think 10,13,18 is more popular. For me I am riding Gin Instict HB quiver 12,18 and it covers everything, even water starting and tacking in 6-8kn and I am 110kg.

Thanks for this. What wind speed do people consider to be the low-end for a 18/19m kite with a race foil?
