You need to EXTEND the backlines ; or keep them as they are but fully trim the bar (to "shorten the front lines , exactly like if you want to depower the kite in high winds); I suppose that with your shortened back lines, kite was almost not controllable , both in turn and in backstall ...

Even if fully depowered, the kite seems to keep its shape very well , without "arcordioning" like most singleskin sometimes do in gust fully depowered..

thanks Regis, but it seems to me that with 25 knots or more, the kite does not keep its shape very well fully depowered?? If I let go of the bar or dont keep some presure on the bar (this seems to hapen with all single skins? more or less?)
I have become accustomed to have back stall on the range of the bar and use it with bar feel; I guess I have also become accustomed to always keep some bar pressure when de-powered. I guess, the problem is that it is different for each kite and setting and I have to adapt every time I change… kite sizes, models, bar settings etc…?

For me, it is starting to make some sense to trim the bar (in this small kites) so that if you let go, there is still some bar pressure and the control of the kite starts to work a little as if you ride unhooked all the time? Specially for downwind runs?

You have the experience of hysper above 20 knots that i do not have yet. So great to get your feeling on stab in high winds. Yesterday with the hysper 14m , there was sometimes 12 knots, fully trimed, bar fully sheet out and it was not loosing its structure (just a little bit but only after about 10 seconds like if thé leading edge has lost a bit of pressure over 10 second full release of bar in gust. But.far better than my ex Firefly 4m that was loosing its shape within the second .

But 25 knots on a 2.5 meter is completely différent certainely

It is, specially because the bar feedback is much grater for this small kites than for the large ones, but I will have to work more on this myself to understand better.
I got the 11m in "normal" cloth. I havent had a chance to test since we have good wind :P but I weighted it since I was a bit ofuscated from your 14m 1250g kite (and I would have been a bit "sad" if it weighed more jaja. So the 11m weigs...

1257g - 25g of the belt = 1232g fiuf

so basically you have 3 "weightless" sq meters extra

This hybrid kite looks awesome, very exciting concept, hope everyone is ok. I have been flying the 4m Gin Shaman and love it, if the new Marabou V2 which is coming out in May has the power and performance of the Shaman3 with the water launch of Marabou V1 it will be awesome like the Hysper! Pictures are up of the new marabou on ginkites.com and I am hoping to test one soon.

I did not tried the 12m Marabou enough time to compare, but a back-to-back test would be excellent ;
In the meantime , here is my first real session with the 14m in upper wind range ; music in sad hommage to our friends from Ukraine, hoping that in particular, Sky Country is ok today ...
