I dont think it will turn slower.
And I dont think it will have (at least not much) better low end, but more range instead.

Just guessing, and interesting.

Joining to surf this wave of speculations :)
It will turn slower because of weight of trapped air inside - simply more momentum to overcome while change direction
About low end... thats difficult to predict

Hmmm, I know some say this but I dont agree.
I could be wrong yes, but IMO a single skin kite also have air which needs to be turned, namely the air in the front part of a Peak which is not closed no, but you can not convince me that the air inside this semicircle does not move with the kite, when you turn it.

So having two kites that weighs the same and same AR, I dont think the turning rate is noticeably different (if all other aspect were the same, knowing they are not)

And the reason why I think they will turn faster is, it seems to have lower Aspect Ratio than the Peaks looking at the photo, meaning faster turning

From experience with similar sized SS vs CC - SS is always much more responsible without this momentum delay. Maybe turning rate is the same /radius and speed/ but turning initiation and reaction lag is much better on SS
It is true that i newer flown 3m CC though :). Nevertheless AR looks lower so it will turn as fast as Peak probably.

Anyway i still miss some P4 magic on P5. So we will see. I like to see more usable range. P5 is quite limited without emergency flapping mode.

I’d be shocked if it comes in less than $1000, more likely $1200 (half way between $600ish of Peak5 and $1800ish of Soul).

They will have bad sales of Hybrid if they make 1000 or above for 5m. Biggest advantage and popularity of Peak was inexpensive price, for 1000 you can buy new perfect balanced SS UFO, and definitely UFO is more serious and with much bigger range and 100 percent relaunch kite than Peak, plus much safer in big sea and waves.

For €1200 you could buy a Kauper Falcon XT so I doubt they will price it that high. This is a much bigger market than snowkite, so they should sell rather well. The amount of times people on HF ask me about flying Peaks and relaunching tells me that's the only thing keepting people from switching.

Plus it is great for schooling. I think they are spot on in the video when they say you can teach your kid to kite and then jump on the hydrofoil. There are lots of people who will get it for family days at the beach. It is the safest kite and very uncomplicated.

The kite in the vid is not exactly a ‘looker’, is it? Hopefully it’s a proto color scheme.

I will be torn between this and ss Peaks when this comes out… curious about the weights, how this sits between Souls and Peaks.

Usually Flysurfer protos do not have logo nor brand name printed, so this is final coloring for some size variant.
