The kite in the video is a 5.5m. How many intakes does it have; 1 central one?

Looks a bit like the Viron looking at this angle...

The new Flysurfer Hybrid looks interesting. With the large double skin part it might be more streamlined and quicker through the air than the Peak, giving a better power spike in the light stuff for getting going.
Will just have to wait for the reviews when it is released in October.
Guess we won't have much longer to wait, October is very soon indeed.

That picture looks like the Columbia Gorge. Good chance there was one flying around during the recent AWSI trade show.

Having already picture of this hybrid (by the way it reminds me modified NASA star form) and knowing that double layer takes 40 percent i would like to make such predictions

FS Hybrid cons and pro (vs FS Peak):

+Hybrid will have much better upwind, regarding double skin which is i would say more to higher aspect ratio
+More lift regarding double skin
+Probably more lowend and little bit bigger wind range
+Of course less structural collapse cases
+Less flapping
+And of course more reliable relaunch, still not clear if relaunch is always perfect and in 100 percent cases, could be that in waves it has also very short period for relaunch option.

-I think it will be not so easy to launch as Peak, you must be more careful in launch especially in limited area.
-Comparing same Hybrid and Peak sizes i think Hybrid still will have less turning speed and less playfulness, just question how less in percent, 5,10 or 20?
-Probably less drag, also, just question how much less in percent comparing with same size Peak.
-Maybe a little big less downwind joy comparing with Peak biggest feature
-Less eating gusts, also question how much less in percent
-Of course slightly bigger weight and maybe needs a little more wind to hang.
-Much more sensitive for harder crash to water or terrain (regarding integrated Double Skin)
-If there is mixer with lines fixed to double skin areas than eternal problems with shrinking and tuning.
-More costly repair in damage
-Definitely bigger price, i think something as 25-40 percent more than Peak. If Peak 5 let say costs 550, this 5 size will costs i would say around 750-790.

So, in few month we will have i think a lot of comments about this kite. I think it will be most hottest product in kites for half of year after UFO and Aluula.
Just 1-2 months and we will know all answers :)

And Nasa Star kite picture for comparison of form

It is fun to "predict" about something we dont know

Agree with some points a99, except for a few:

I dont think it will turn slower.
And I dont think it will have (at least not much) better low end, but more range instead.

Just guessing, and interesting.

This will likely replace my 11m on water. That's the only peak I cannot relaunch reliability, and at those windspeeds I can't ride downwind as much anyway.

Joining to surf this wave of speculations :)
It will turn slower because of weight of trapped air inside - simply more momentum to overcome while change direction
About low end... thats difficult to predict

I predict this will be designed more towards hydrofoiling so I bet better drift but a smaller range....

Who knows lol
