I was wondering about the time spent with this method. Thinned silicone with a small paint roller is pretty quick, penetrates well and can be repeated for a thicker seal as many times as you want.

took me 6 hours to do the front and back compared to about 2 hours painting the entire skin the problem is you have all this extra weight on the kite that isn't doing anything, since what you really want is to plug up those thread holes.
