i thought the camera was on at that moment but it was not.
The relaunch happened "gently" and was quite standard from the last position on the film:
It was a bit weired (kite stayed some time half relaunched (at centre of the kite) and half glued to the water (both tips, while no really water inside) , certainly because it wasexactlyvthe wind limit to relaunch. but it behaved well, remained stable enough to "wait for a ponctual gust of 5 knots, front lines in hand.
I was happy to get the kite back to shore, dry...

That is about 400 or so grams more than a FS Soul v2 which albeit has lighter canopy material than v1. Anyone know what the v1 soul weighs?

Hmm...
not as light as I expected, didn't FunAlex say it's a new "Ultralight" cloth?
It's around ~210g/m², that's more than any other Pansh Kite I had. Genesis, Hawk, Aurora, A15, all of them are lighter.

Ah, I found my document...
These are the weights of kites I had. Many Pansh, a few others. Few of these are manufacture's numbers, but most I weighted myself.

Soul V2 has heavier canopy material than V1 as it suppose to be durable, 33g/m2 vs old 32g/m2

heavier? 1 gram here is well within the acceptable tolerance
I thought the ram-air kites are lighter. My 13m 3strut Contra weighs less thatn the 15m Kestrel.
Sure, I know the difference between a 15m flat arc ramair and a 13m LEI

It looks like kites get heavier by size if they are racier (higher aspect ratio, flatter profile). I used to have a 10.5m JN Randas (bubble shaped snow kite) that was made of heavy cloth and thick bridles and weighed 2kg.

Sure, but none of this kites have semi rigid internal ribs.
They do weight something. Plus, the bridles are not kevlar.
