Flysurfer bars

Postby keegster17 » Sat Feb 25, 2023 2:41 pm

Anyone have issues with Flysurfer bars and the glue from the handle grip coming apart. I have a 6 month old bar, and it's already happened. This is a common problem.

I havent had any issues with these, after years of use.

But if you are simply talking about the grip getting loose, then I have had this on many other brands.

Just use contact cement and it is solved, takes a few minutes :thumb:

No biggie, just like footpads, some comes apart others dont - but takes minutes to solve completely :D

I had the same on my new Infinity XX - the dealer told me this would happen and it did :)

Really common with the infinity bars, you can use some super glue or just rewrap it with baseball bat tape. Sad to see this still happens.

Yes, the grips (on all bars) come unglued and/or tear. I like the baseball bat grip suggestion. Bicycle handlebar tape also works well if you reinforce the adhesion with Gorilla Glue or something similar.

Yeah, flysurfer should be well aware of this by now, and make a change, especially now the price of bars, as a consumer, I don't want to spend that kind of money and have something fall apart, that quick, I get it, this sport stuff gets a lot of use.

Absurd that this happens! I bought an Infinity XX bar, and on the first sail the detachment already occurred. I just want to see what the solution will be.
