So far most testers told about MORE power (at least when boosting high). Not sure about speed, though.
SPEED is downgraded....
Speed of turn or riding speed?

If it’s riding speed then I don’t believe you as it’s the fastest kite over Nautical mile at over 41 kts average

Any new reviews on the Flysurfer Sonic 4?

Is it really like a Soul but just higher performance?!

My 10m Soul is awesome, but am thinking of adding a larger Sonic (for Twintipping).

I have a 12m Sonic and had two days on it. It is surprisingly stable for the relative high aspect, the tips have not bent or moved independently from the rest of the canopy (which they did all the time on the last Sonic). It is rock solid. Even when I dropped it and it lay there in a mess, it gained shape shape quickly.

The handling is also nice nice and nimble, it depowers immediately and does not shoot forward. It feels a lot like what I remember of Gin Spirit. Sonic just has way nicer bridles.

[edit: This did not happen again after I reattached the lines, the mixer must have been slightly twisted]
(I don’t know if that means anything, but during the two days of flying Sonic 4, the part where the pulleys kind of tangled around themselves in the air. I felt it on the bar and it sorted itself out by just staring at it angrily. It could have also been something I did wrong, I haven’t figured it out. In that case I should have not stared angrily.)

Inflating the kite was also no problem and it felt nice and safe immediately, and has not tucked in a tip In the bridle or something. But four starts is also a very low sample.

The only critique I have is that the grey blue color, it communicates “German engineering”. Why not make it neongreen, with a nice juicy pineapple printed on one side of the canopy?

Overall I am really happy with it. I was looking for a replacement of my Kitech FRS 12m and have found it. Sonic is a little less nimble, a little more performance.

Just a quick post of first impressions.
Have a Soul V1 18m for light wind twin tipping.
Just got out on my new Sonic 4 18m- very impressed.
It took longer than expected to inflate the tips in the air, but everything else was awesome. (Will pre-inflate in future). No sign of any tip tucking once it was fully inflated- in fact it held its shape better than the Soul.
The stability was outstanding- rock solid and ran really fast, clocking a new top speed on same board. never over flew me in gusts on the beach,
I was worried about the potential skill level needed to fly it, but it was a piece of cake- very similar to my Soul, but lighter bar pressure and less grunt- smooth and efficient.
It didn’t feel any faster to turn, but they are both huge wing spans.
The hangtime was unbelievable (and the Soul was a high bar), it felt easier to redirect for a smooth soft landing, so perhaps it does turn a little better, because the Soul needed to be redirected immediately after take off.
Very happy to sell the Soul and keep the Sonic
My 2 cents

I flew Sonic 4 12m and Sonic 3 13m back to back on twintip.

Sonic 4 12 was on shorter lines and Sonic 3 was trimmed for stability (B and C are 2cm shortened).

Sonic 3 felt racier, it feels more like it sucks itself into the wind.

Sonic 4 felt like it jumped a bit higher and felt easier to jump.

Neither of the kites tucked an ear in and I did not fly carefully, Sonic 3 just had a slight wobble in the tips when landing a jump.

The difference in line length made the biggest difference in how the kites felt. A preference of line length is a personal preference.

These are no surprising findings, it confirmed information given by Flysurfers marketing material.

Does the new Sonic 4 have about the same low end as Soul V2?

And how would the low end compare to the Sonic 3?

I don’t think there is a difference in low end.
