Video's 35.5 woo-meter jump was done with Sonic4, I guess there is the connection to topic title?

It would be interesting to see how they would score a foil kite at KOTA. Jamie Overbeek could do some mahoosive jumps with a gazillion tricks but I guess they’d score it low because of extremity etc.

He won't use the foil at KOTA. Only one jump with foil.

I've seen him loop the 8m Sonic, but most often his 6m. The hangtime is incredible. He rarely uses his wave oriented Stoke for anything other than doubles these days.

Very impressive.

Still, there is nothing more annoying than all that vertical recording these days. Yeah, yeah, I know... because of smartphone yada yada.

Yeah, if he makes KOTA, he won't be flying a foil kite.

It would be cool if there was a division for foil kites, but it probably won't happen as it is too small of a niche. However, for the weekend wooster, small foil kites are worth considering for a few reasons:
1. Huge Depower range - you can hold down a lot more power with a high aspect foil kite.
2. Light Bar Pressure - Bar pressure increases as wind speeds go up, making some LEI kites arm destroyers at the top of their range.
3. Massive Hangtime - This saves your knees and if you don't wish to loop the kite, a great alternative to looping a small kite on the descent.

In the jump height, Sonic4.

In the KOTA video, most of that is from earlier this year before the sonic4, where he was still using a 7m Stoke. He still uses the 5m wave kite for doubles.
