@Funalex posted this handy list. I haven't been able to find good videos for 3,4,5. Can anyone recommend?

How to relaunch a foilkite (look for tutorials on youtube) :
1-If you have luckn don't touch anything, a lot of foil kite can relaunch by themselves, you can help them by pulling one rear line like a tube kite
2-If the kite is laying on its leading edge, you can pull the two back line about 1 meter, to relaunch backward, you release one of the backline, the kite pivot, and it relaunch.
3-If the kite is folded in 2 part like a wallet, laying on its side, you can pump on front line to make it reopen, or you can pull back line, and wait a long time before the kite position itself in the previous situation
4-if the kite has inverted, continue to fly it and crash it (slowly) again on the water (leading edge side) to reinvert it by going into the kite to slack front line and reinvert
5-if the kite have twisted 1/2 time (higher ratio), pull very hard the non-inverted side, to recover

Those are fortunately quite rare. Just keep your kite in the air and don't worry. One good rule is never drop your kite, it only makes your situation worse. So if you crash you have to fight to keep your kite flying, don't become a victim or passenger.

If you do such things you will crash a lot then take a kite which has easy relaunch. Twisted foil kite sucks no matter what your skill level is.
