I really admire Ozone for making seat-belt-simple one-click chickenloop. Not sure how manufacturers coudln't see a need for that in past years.
On the other hand I've heard enough feedback and references to "zipper on the back" to make me believe it's a design to avoid. I sold my foils with zippers except the Peter Lynn Venom and the zipper alone is a no-buy red flag for me and a point goes to Flysurfer for ditching zippers about 8 years back.
And as of investment. Unless you ride snow/Buggy/MTB stay with $800 LEI and chances are you'll be riding a size down compared to folks on LEIs.
Six weeks ago in La Ventana I had a blast foiling on 5/7m Rallys and guys on Solos seemed to not have as much fun. Maybe it was a mistake for them to buy foil kite, maybe it was a mistake to sell them foil kites.
Maybe it's a marketing strategy to find hopelessly mediocre riders, give them competition gear for free so whole beach goes "that sucks!" every time they hit water and put a sh!tshow for all spectators
