Slowmo footage you be the judge. I just dont see a valid reason for release.

There must be corner in front side, maybe smaller in sides and without in back side of this QR of Ozone to be safe.

maybe that's the solution: only have the edge on the side facing the rider?
And all 3 other sides don't have that edge...

What do you think?

Probably its best and safest solution. finger i tink always will catch front side too if intended release will be.
Any way, if someone will face now the same quick release situation on doing megaloop and it will be filmed it will be hard times for Ozone..

No,

it is not. Sorry to disappoint you guys but the release is made to be rotated for left hand riders. And with this one the Red plastic can't be rotated back so the flat side is not facing you.

If I had this release I would torn it in into a pieces with testing...

Which reminds me of discussion about some other new products on the market from different vendor. Which testing? Oh, but "we tested it. Trust us. We know what we doing."

I did a comparison between the current Contact V4 QR (a brand new/unused bar) with the previous QR and the new version requires far less force to open the QR - to the point that the older design requires definite effort to open, whereas the new QR opens without any effort at all.

Someone mentioned that they tied extra knots in the elastic - this looks fiddly to do, but I wont use the new QR's for boosting until they get sorted out.

I really think this is potential mountain out of molehill territory. Could anyone other than Ruben Lenten please let us know if the V4 release has failed at all ever? Ruben could get sponsored by any major manufacturer so I can’t see him lying for the sake of his sponsor, and, quite apart from the money, putting other kiters at risk as a result. Wild speculation and hot air from what I can tell.

The release in question. I wouldn't say its super easy to open (super easy to close though), It rides up very easily. I wouldn't mega loop with this.

Would be interesting to test another WR next to it to compare forces needed.

But the reload is amazing easy!
