- he would have known the wind conditions and prepared specifically to do that. Not that it doesn’t take lots of skill and cojones....
Yes --- and i also bet that Jesse had a back-Up reserve parachute , hidden away
under his jacket.
It's OK to do stunts like this ; as long as the "VIEWER" realizes ,that it
Is a stunt ; and a rather dangerous one at that !
I was on my PG two seasons ago,at an altitude of 11,000-ft ASL, when a
Desert dust storm appeared from nowhere , (it was Not in the days forecast ).
I pulled the B-lines down to my balls and essentially folded the canopy in 1/2.
When i let go, at 3,000-ft ASL ; the PG just flew away , and 300-ft later
i landed.
My point here is :
A PG is built to take that kind of punishment ; a water kite Ain't !!
BTW : Soaring a glider like what Jesse did , is Really Fun and addicting ; just
do it on stuff that's built for it and you will get to do it a bunch more times.
It's ALL i really Wanna Do ; nothing else really matters !!!!!!!!
