Also the bar is a good attempt to make things modular and universal.
The trim line is a bit short for foiling and under the bar setup is overly bulky and complicated but it’s a good start

So you've seen the system and had a chance to try it out? Also, the trim line can be replaced with a 4 to 1 system that adds some 30cm if the standard line isn't long enough for you. You can also just grab an AV8 Control System from Cabrinha and the 4 to 1 is already installed.

Yes, I rode (and loved) the 2016-2017 Trimlite bars and I know that for freeride foiling - I don’t need 4:1 - I just need about twice as much trim line. Above 2020 looks in the picture identical length as older ones.

The under-the-bar is exactly same as fireball which actually connects well to a spreader bar rope ring directly - but it’s just bulky compared to something like PKS KISS.

I’m not saying it is bad, it’s actually good. Not innovative since North already been here for couple of years with modular system and under-the-bar of fireball (reincarnated in 2020) was screaming for uncluttering and simplifying.

Big boys are very slow to change and fail to look into plain sight occasionally. I can show you my communication with Armin from 2012 on what everything they could have done for bars (without knowing what they had been working on) and they came up with same I was suggesting just as an observer.

With engineering degree it’s all fun :) back in 20th century modularity, serviceability and simplicity were values taught and this century kind of lost it forgetting “you can doesn’t mean you should” rule

The below the bar is completely new and resembles nothing of previous Fireball QR or reassembly. It also is completely tool less. It also allows completely independent spinning of the front lines, security line, and leash - also unique. So I would say it's a pretty big innovation and there's nothing complicated about it. I would love your feedback when you get to see and try one. Take care.

The bar looks really cool and the modularity is next level compare to other bars.

Nice work !

Just rode the new AV8 gear at the Buzzard's Bay Regatta and the control system is legit, really good setup that reminds me a lot of the Ozone race control system. I had the 4:1 trimmer and race loop on the bar I used. I only had a chance to ride the 14m AV8 but it was a beast downwind, as fast as a big race foil kite at full hustle off the wind but obviously without the upwind angle of a foil kite.

Why does cab switch up their QR every year...makes spare parts annoying. I feel like their old qr that I tried a year or two ago was fine...not overly complicated like 2014.

So with the new kite ripstop material...does this make this 2020 kites heavier than the 2019's?
