Introduction to Unhooking (unhook, rehook, leashing, semi suicide etc)

Introduces the basics of how to unhook and hook back in. Covering, the unhooking procedure, how to control power with the bar in, how & when to leash semi suicide, why to avoid full suicide, and how to avoid accidentally steering with the bar in.

Unhooking has increased risks compared to hooked kiting, and the probability of making mistakes while learning is high. It helps to try in very light wind, and you should also have lots of general kiting experience (at least backrolls, frontrolls, downloops, self rescues, handling flagged out kites and tangled lines).
