The dream of flying is older than mankind itself. Duotone is Big Air

Flying a kite is cool. But what about flying with a kite?

The dream of flying is older than mankind itself, but it's only in the recent years that we’ve made progress and today everyone can access this extravagant sensation.

Focus, calculation, confidence and a cool head; that’s the name of the game. To be the best in Big Air it takes more than guts. Today’s extreme side of kiteboarding is down to extraordinary feats of athleticism, knowing ones limits and how to surpass them, unusual conditions and daredevil displays from the world’s best riders.

Duotone Kiteboarding has watched five of its riders push their personal boundaries demanding more from our gear to support their visions. It’s riders like Reno Romeu, Aaron Hadlow, Hannah Whitely, Lewis Crathern and Lasse Walker who are responsible for shaping not only the performance of our products, but trusting in the safety we can provide. For the first time ever, we get together with these highly individual riders who’s path to pulling that trigger on a mega loop is unique and what makes them tick is personal.

#TrueBigAir - This video is about a group of people who changed the way we look at flying kites by flying with them instead. The formula is simple, yet the execution is complex. Strong winds and massive waves equate to big air and for that, there is no better place than Cape Town, South Africa; a place where our kites take us the highest, diluting the reality of gravity and introducing the concept of flight.

Shot on location in Cape Town, South Arica where the formula is simple. Strong winds and massive waves equate to big air!

Featuring: Aaron Hadlow, Lewis Crathern, Lasse Walker, Hannah Whiteley and Antonin Rangin.
