He much more interesting in movements than Haldow or Cratern or Lenten. He and Jessy Richman with Joshua can be on Kota finals. Not sure about Kevin, as he just going perfect megaloops and super soft landings, but not such wide scale moves as Marc. Simply as Marc is heavy weight his moves are not so smooth, but as for 95 kg (as i read somewhere) he doing pretty impresive fast.

Problem is, that Marc does not have the height...otherwise he would score more. Let's see if he can keep up with the high jumpers this year, but 95 kg is a disadvantage. Not if you have an 18 ;-)

Just curious, if he is 95kg what size is he riding when kevin or nick are on 9ms?

I think his biggest problem is that he is doing all technical tricks to the right and not to the left (big kickers...), so he is not that high as others...

Lacking height in his boost or not, Jacobs is an absolute technical master and I think we will see him progress further in the competition board. Btw - did he switch back to Switch? I thought he went over to North but that's not the case here.

9m. Heavier riders are just at large disadvantage.

9m is about 15% (subjective opinion) at about everything than a 10m when looping. You can send it faster and have better control. A mate kept harassing me to try his 9m (Evo 9m vs 10m), but I was extremely skeptical. Put a hole in my 10m one day and stole his 9m. Could go higher and land more loops in the same wind (that day it was about 30kn). It also kept shape a bit better when overpowered. I immediately bought one and haven't used my 10m since. The trade off is a little low end range and glide time, neither of which I care about when looping.

Marc can jump as big as anyone, if not bigger on the day.

Yes being goofy is a disadvantage at Cape town I have no doubt he would have already won kota if it was a right foot forward location.. even left foot (switch) the way he rides he still has the potential to beat everyone... I fully think he can win this year.

Another thing u need to consider is perspective.. when he does jumps closer in they may look lower on video camera but they are often not.. trick of the eye/ perspective comes into effect... but when you see it with your own eyes you are like wtf! He is like twice as wide as some of the other riders and it's not out of the stomach area!

Nope. He and Jesse were filming with North yesterday at Langebaan. This is just footage from last year's comp.
