Is Surfing better than Kitesurfing? | Get High with Mike

Let’s see...people keeping the spots to themselves, paddling on a belly for 15 minutes to have 30 seconds ride, then cock fighting on a beach over “stolen” wave...boards gooey and filthy with a mix of wax and dirt, sharks confusing your semi-static silhouette for a seal, eggshell boards that dent and crack upon slightest impacts, airlines wanting to screw your over bag size.
I don’t know if I would want any of that, ever. Otherwise looks cool in videos not covering any of above.
Surfing might be better in locations with clean, rare, organized waves and no crowds.

There is a simplicity and beauty to surfing that kiting doesn't have somehow.

I ride snowsurfers without bindings in winter. Its the same, less gear and more natural compared to normal freeride snowboarding. Also way harder and more fun.

It's freezing here now, so the surfspots are not crowded. That's the only thing I hate about it.
