A buddy in IL is selling two of his for $390 a piece. I flew one and as Jason said - light, innovative, yet to my aggressive level of looping the bar was biting onto center line tube.

Still a good bar for travel weight cautious riders who don’t loop agressively

The kiss bar offered by Jeff Howard at kiteboarding.com Is the bomb, it’s simple, light but strong, aesthetically pleasing and when a cam cleat is offered the trim adjustments are flawless. Thanks jeff for keeping it simple, I will be ordering my second kiss bar soon.

The biting of the Center pu tubing which prevents sheeting while aggressively turning is I am afraid a show stopper, unacceptable for a foiling bar, this is why I will not go with center pu tubing.

My deal breaker is just how fragile that tubing is. Always have to be careful about not kinking it, it damages easily, and is a bitch to replace.

I did finally get a solution through Kauper-XT. I ended up buying a new winchard and they threw in two replacement tubes for free. On top of price of the Winchard, I had to pay over 50 USD to get it shipped to the states. So far the new tube hasn't been damaged like my first one, but my lines are worn in strange stops and the wear is alarming for as little as I've used it. It has been a disappointing experience for sure, I was hoping to replace all my bars with Pintxos but will look for a different solution now.

I have over 9o sessions with my kiss bar, probably over 250 hours of use, no wear whatsoever. One issue you would have to get used to is there is no auto flag out on my bars. There is an oh shit handle on one of the front linestgst you would have to reach up and grab. Once you get used to this it is no problem.

I had to use QR first time in many years two weeks back. A guy flew his kite around mine so my lines were inside and over his. Then he crashed his kite and I released so if anybody to be dragged over sandbar it wouldn’t be me (i was walking in and he rode in behind). I’m done with bars without flag line - not safe

The only kite I would use a bar without a safety would be the Peak. Cheap enough that if I have to lose it I can and just holding on to one steering line after releasing would work pretty much as well.

Interesting how different the experiences are. I had more than 150 sessions foiling on my Pintxo Bar, no problems whatsoever, never stuck in a loop in any kind of maneuver (I use tubekites and I consider myself an advanced foiler..). Lines are Liros, so high quality, I am not worried at all for the wear.
Super light, easy to set up, maintenance free (so far). The tubing is still fine, I checked in detail after watching the video. So I cannot confirm your points. But good discussion anyways!

It wasn’t without careful consideration that I use a bar without an auto flag out, this is for foiling only. My worry is tangling with another kite for sure. The auto flag out on the pintoxt bar is what first caught my eye, the complexity of design is what turned me away.
