Having now watched three guys nearly die from failed megaloops like that, I will never be able to even try one!

I don’t have the balls / lack of sense for this but it pretty much looks like he steers the kite less than half way round then just flies it straight down into the water...??!

yea, after many years of contemplation I think I've concluded that I'll not be a megalooper...I "trial and error" my way into new tricks and at 46 years old the "error" on a megaloop can leave some marks... you never know though

How did that happen? It looks like more than a lack of commitment on the loop, particularly since the loop comes around at the end. Anybody have any other theories or knowledge here? OUCH.

that is pretty unusual

the ones at kota seemed to be backstall/ oversheeting problems? - but this -- who knows!

A lot of trust in equipment these days - especially with quick releases that can go of more easily by accident , pullies, bridles etc.

Someone should hand one of the new generations of rider an old fuel model to try.. they may even like the extra violence!

I think she was going for a board off megaloop but didn't get the pull on the bar right and the rest was history!
